Arbre de Cerise is situated in the hamlet of Grange, on the outskirts of Linazay in the Vienne department of South West France, midway between the historic towns of Poitiers and Angouleme.
Fascinating local villages with weekly markets, churches, fine bars and restaurants as well as an extensive range of local facilities and amenities all within a short drive.

The medieval towns of Civray, Melle and Ruffec all have excellent markets, restaurants and festivals during the summer months.

The river Charente winds its way through picturesque villages such as Verteuil (15 mins), dominated by a chateau, offering riverside walks, kayaking and a selection of good restaurants.

Poitiers (35 mins), with its many archaeological sites, is great for shopping and sightseeing.

Futuroscope (45 mins) is France’s answer to Epcot at Disneyland and Europe’s premier image theme park.

La Rochelle (90 mins) is a lively, vibrant port, rich in historical heritage and wonderful museums. Here you can visit one of the most original maritime museums in the world and children will enjoy the Port des Minimes to see the sharks, jellyfish, giant squid and turtles in the aquarium.

There are lots of clean, sandy beaches along this coast, either at Chatellion Plage, just south of La Rochelle, or by crossing the stunning bridge to the Ile de Re.
